The purpose of this program is to provide successful applicants the opportunity to meet with leaders in the fields of creating, selling and marketing multi-platform content in small groups. By providing successful Fellows with direct access to these key executives, this program will help to break down the barriers that new entrants have in terms of getting access to the key industry decision makers who can help them turn their ideas into successful projects.

The program will provide successful applicants the opportunity to meet with leaders in the fields of creating, selling and marketing multi-platform content in small groups. By providing successful Fellows with direct access to these key executives, this program will help to break down the barriers that new entrants have in terms of getting access to the key industry decision makers who can help them turn their ideas into successful projects.

Ten Fellows have been chosen from the pool of applications by a small panel of industry experts. We would like to thank Louie Ghiz (Manager, New Media, Atlantic Region, Telefilm Canada), Michael Hennessey (VP Wireless, Broadband and Content Policy, TELUS - Corporate Affairs) and Kris Krug (President, Raincity Studios) for their role as jurors.

Fellowships will attend both nextMEDIA – The Future of Digital Media (June 6th-8th, 2008) and the Banff World Television Festival (June 8th-11th, 2008). During the course of the program, one or more successful content creators will mentor the Fellows throughout the program.

Through the relationships they develop during BANFF and nextMEDIA, and the advice they receive through their access to key leaders in content development, the Fellows will have outstanding opportunities to advance their projects and their content ideas.
